Chicora Honor Roll is Site of Inauguration
Chicora: Taking advantage of the mild weather, an outside inauguration ceremony was held on December 30, 2011, for Lewis Stoughton, who took the oath of office for his second term of Magisterial District Judge 50-3-02 at the newly rededicated Chicora Honor Roll.

This special ceremony gave local citizens the opportunity to witness the event that is normally held at the Butler County Courthouse.
Present to post the colors were members of the Chicora VFW Post 7876 and American Legion Post 642. The honor of administering the oath of office was District Judge Richard King, Past President of the Special Court Judges Association of Pennsylvania. Serving as Master of Ceremony was Rev. Glen Kohlepp, (retired) of Chicora.
Sgt. Daniel Hines was the Key Note Speaker. Sgt. Hines, for two years, was a member of the Old Guard, which assists with burials at Arlington National Cemetery.
Closing out the ceremony was Chicora Mayor, Lisa Nagy, brought the small crowd to their feet with her rendition of “God Bless America.”
In an interview with The Progress News, Judge Stoughton stated: “I thank the community for electing me and giving me the opportunity to serve again for the next six years. And I am also grateful to the speakers and members of the Chicora VFW Post 7876 and members of the American Legion Post 642 for making this a special day.”
