Judy M. Borland, 69, of Emlenton went home to be with the Lord at 10:52 PM Saturday, Nov. 23, 2011 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca following a brief illness with her family at her side.
Judy was born in Emlenton on Sept. 6, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Clarence H. "Dusty" and Genevieve M. Hart Hetzler. She was a graduate of Emlenton High School. Mrs. Borland had been a long time member of New Zion EC church in Emlenton, where she enjoyed playing the organ. She was a chapter leader for Knox T.O.P.S club for many years. Judy will be fondly remembered for her love of family, community and church.
She enjoyed entertaining in her home and working for her favorite charities. She had been employed as a secretary at CPT in Franklin for a number of years and retired from Farmer's National Bank in Emlenton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Borland whom she married in Emlenton at New Zion EC church by pastor Charles Campbell on January 18, 1992. He preceded her in death on July 7, 1999. She is survived by a sister, Kathryn L. Campbell and her husband Jerold of Titusville. Two brothers survive, Glenn B. Hetzler and his wife Irene of Polk and Robert B. Hetzler and his wife Bonnie of Emlenton. A sister in-law survives, Dolores M. Hetzler of Emlenton as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is also survived by two special friends, Patty and Alyssa.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, John C. Hetzler as well as an infant brother.
Friends were received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave. Emlenton, PA . Funeral services were held from the funeral home with her church pastor Rev. Charles J. Campbell officiating. Interment took place in Rockland Cemetery, Rockland Twp. Venango County. Her family requests that memorial contributions be made to the New Zion EC church, 1195 Airport Rd. Emlenton, PA 16373, or to the Kirtland Cancer Foundation, PO Box 108, Franklin, PA 16323.
