The girls held supply drives on various weekends in April and May at Giant Eagle and Dollar Tree in Butler.  They made flyers to pass out to the shoppers letting them know about their project.  Through their supply drives and the generosity of the shoppers of Butler, they were able to collect 968 cans of dog/cat food, 14 bags of dry dog/cat food, 54 packages of cat/dog/cat treats, 150 dog/cat toys, 118 rolls of paper towels, 71 rolls of toilet paper, 36 cleaning supply items, 13 leashes and collars.  They also made homemade dog treats, homemade dog/cat toys, put together a large gift basket and made Thank You cards for the Humane Society to be able to send to their supporters.
On May 29th they went to the Humane Society to deliver the donations they collected.  They also volunteered their time on that day to weed around the building, sidewalks, and parking area.  They helped with washing/drying the pets’ food and water dishes and washing/drying laundry.
