2022-2023 Karns City Boy's Varsity Basketball


The Karns City Boys basketball team got off to a hot start to the 2022-2023 season. The Gremlins springboarded into the new season starting out with an impressive 5-0 record. The Gremlins cooled off a bit the last three games winning one out of the three with tough losses to Clarion and C-L. The Gremlins currently sit at 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the KSAC South Conference.

The Gremlins return a strong nucleus from a season ago including Michah Rupp a 6-4" Forward, and a four year starter for the Gremlins. Joining Rupp are jr.’s, 6-2" Luke Cramer and point guard Taite Beighley who will run the show from the point position.

Heading into the January 9th contest vs. Dubois, Coach Zach Kepple’s squad is averaging 55.7 points per game while only yielding 44.2 points per game.

Upcoming games in January include: January 9th at Dubois; Friday, January 13th at A-C Valley – 6 PM; Tues., January 17, 2023 vs. North Clarion at home – 7:15 PM; Thursday, January 19th vs Union at Rimersburg – 7:30 PM; January 25th vs. Keystone at home – 7:30 PM; Friday, January 27th at Cranberry – 7:15 PM; January 30th vs.Punxsutawney at home – 7:15 PM.

The Gremlins will close the season with four tough games in February vs. North Clarion, Redbank, Clarion-Limestone and Moniteau.
