The ACV FIRST Program and Parent Advisory Council is sponsoring its 24rd annual Angels for Christmas gift-giving project. Children who reside in the A-C Valley School district may receive a new coat or clothes, new boots or shoes, and a wished-for toy. Parents who have children between the ages of 0 and 18 years (still in high school) in need of these items and cannot provide them for their children may contact the A-C Valley FIRST Program to request an application at 724-659-3224 or access one at www.acvsd.org or pick one up in the ACV Elementary office. Approved applicants will receive a phone call to schedule an appointment to fill out all necessary documents from 9 AM to 5 PM October 4st in the Emlenton’s Crawford Center Conference Room, October 12th in Parker Firehall, or October 18th at the St. Petersburg Borough Office, or by private appointment with FIRST Program staff between October 19th and October 25th.
All social distancing safety measures will be enforced during the sign-up process. Masks are required. All applicants must provide proof of residency at the time of their appointment. Only primary custodial parents/guardians may apply for this assistance for their children. There will be no sign-ups after October 25th, 2021.
Donations of gifts and money are graciously accepted from the community. Anyone wishing to purchase gifts for needy area children or volunteer to help with this project may contact the ACV FIRST Program by calling 724-659-3224.
