A Message from Martinsburg

By Rev. Larry Thompson,

Pastor Martinsburg Church in Bruin

On February 9, the office of Missouri Attorney General, Andrew Bailey, announced a “multi-agency” investigation into the Pediatric Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Attorney General Bailey stated: “We have received disturbing allegations that individuals at the Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital have been harming hundreds of children each year, including by using experimental drugs on them.” I applaud the Attorney General for pursuing these allegations.

Children are precious in the eyes of God. In Matthew 10:14, Jesus says, “…Suffer (allow) the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for such is the kingdom of heaven.” In Matthew 18:6, Jesus speaks of those who would cause harm to the children: “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” To subject our children to the works and horrors of the transgender agenda, is the most hideous form of child abuse known to man.

When it comes to gender assignment, God makes no mistakes. In Genesis 1:27, the word of God says this: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Our gender is divinely assigned to us at the moment of conception and given evidence at the time of our physical birth. In the eyes of God, there are two genders and two genders only, male and female.

God’s wrath is upon all those who undertake works of ungodliness and unrighteousness against His Creation (including the human body). The Apostle Paul speaks to this in Romans 1:18: “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold truth in unrighteousness.”

The transgender movement and agenda is a dark stain on the secular and spiritual culture of America. As believers in Christ, we have no choice but to uphold his truth and the truth of God, the Father. Let us not forsake this solemn and everlasting obligation. Let us be worthy pillars of God’s truth in our communities and in our nation.
