ACV Holds Graduation Ceremony

ACV Class of 2021
The Allegheny-Clarion Valley Class of 2021, held their graduation in the high school gymnasium in Foxburg on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Forty-four students participated in graduation activities with parents, family, and friends in attendance. Brent Edward Hetrick was the 2021 Valedictorian, with Andrea Elizabeth Meals as the Salutatorian. Miss Felicia Texter was the keynote speaker.
Valedictorian, Brent Edward Hetrick is the son of Royce and Karen Hetrick of Emlenton. Along with achieving academic excellence, Brent was the President of the Class of 2021, National Honor Society, Musicals, Choir, Band, All-State Choir, All-State Band, Walk and jog Club. Brent received the following Senior Awards: Emlenton Civic Club Scholarship, Jack Rowley Music Award, Franklin Elks Scholarship, Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence, Glenn Karnes Memorial Scholarship. Brent will be attending SUNY Fredonia for Musical Theater. After college, He wants to make a career from performing shows all around the nation.

Andrea Elizabeth Meals
Salutatorian
ACV Class of 2021
Salutatorian, Andrea Elizabeth Meals, is the daughter of Mike and Karen Meals of Foxburg. Along with achieving academic excellence, Andrea is a member of Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Vice President of Walk & Jog Club, Prom Committee, and National Honor Society. Senior Awards: Female Senior Athlete Scholarship, Glenn Karns Scholarship, Emlenton Civic Club Scholarship, St. John’s Trust Fund Scholarship, KSAC All-Conference 2nd Team Volleyball. Andrea will be attending Thiel College for Early Childhood/Special Education in the Fall.
Keynote speaker, Miss Felicia Texter, is a 6th-grade teacher at Allegheny Clarion Valley School District. Miss Texter started her career at A-C Valley in 1983, at that time she was the elementary gym teacher until 1997. After many years as being the gym teacher, she moved to the 6th-grade classroom. She has been teaching our fellow 6th graders ever since. In June 2021, she will be retiring to enjoy the sand, sun, and fun. Miss Texter loves to travel, swim, scuba dive, snow ski, read and enjoy time with friends and family.
The administration, faculty, and staff of Allegheny-Clarion Valley extended sincere congratulations to all of the graduates from the Class of 2021 and wished them all good luck in their future endeavors.
