From Hershey, Pa., at the Giant Center, on Friday, January 28, 2022, the ACV Varsity Cheerleading Squad competed in the 1st round in the state tournament. The squad qualified for semi-finals on Saturday, July 29, 2022 in co-ed division.
The ACV Cheerleading Squad ended up in 7th place in the state’s co-ed division. This is a huge accomplishment because ACV H.S. has only 300 total students and competed against schools with 1000 students plus.
Students on the squad are: (Pictukred above) Andrew Verostek, Damon Weaver, Rylee Bowser, Adison Painter, Malia Conner, Chloe Myers, Alexa Heeter, Lily Whitling, Hannah Ithen, Sophia McGarvey, Kyleigh Morrison, Madison Hurrelbrink, Daniella Farkas, Payton Duffee, Baylie Wingard, Samantha Whitling. Before leaving on Thursday, 1/27, the squad performed for both the High School and Elementary. Then the squad was pleasantly surprised to be escorted by the local fire departments. The squad was escorted from the school to I-80.
