Area Banker Receives Statewide Banking Award

Emlenton, PA – Jennifer Poulsen, SVP Chief Operating Officer of The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton, received the Champion for Women Award at the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s (PA Bankers’) annual Women in Banking Conference on May 2, 2022.

The Champion for Women Award is presented as part of PA Bankers’ Women in Banking Recognition of Excellence Program, dedicated to honoring men and women in the banking industry who promote and inspire women in the workplace to reach their full potential. Ms. Poulsen received the award given to a financial institution member of the association.

The Champion for Women Award celebrates a seasoned male or female professional who, through personal commitment, application and dedication, is invested in others, celebrates success in others, and fosters growth to the fullest potential.

As Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Poulsen manages the Bank’s full-service branch network, marketing, human resources, compliance, facilities, and all consumer loan and deposit operations. Ms. Poulsen has been with The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton for ten years.

The nomination states, “Jennifer is a founder of the PA Bankers Women in Banking Initiative, which envisions and creates an organization dedicated to providing women in banking with professional development opportunities, networking events, mentoring, and recognition programs for female members. Jennifer is passionate about inspiring others to be their best, developing their talents, and encouraging success.

“Jennifer’s commitment and dedication to the advancement of the Bank and the financial industry at large are unmatched,” said William C. Marsh, Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton. “Throughout her career, she has served as an advocate for women in banking, championing their success by creating a culture where every voice is heard, and impactful change is normalized.”
