Armstrong Trails First Walk in 2021

Despite the steady, cold rain about 30 people participated in the Armstrong Trails first First Walk that was held on Friday, January 1, 2021. The crowd enjoyed a bonfire with cookies, cupcakes, hot coffee and hot chocolate before and after the walk. The walk was led by Armstrong Trails executive director Chris Ziegler and started at the refurbished turntable and proceeded to the Brady Tunnel.

Participants met at the Phillipston Parking Lot at 94 N. Apple Street in Rimersburg. The walk started at the turntable and the turnaround point was at the Brady Tunnel. This made for a 3-mile round trip walk. An update was given on Brady Tunnel rehabilitation, the 2021 goals and how you can support Armstrong Trails.
