East Brady: This year, Straighten Up the Bend was a soggy but successful event. Collected along our roadways were 68 bags of trash. Volunteers from within the municipality took it upon themselves to work at their own pace on their own time and along their chosen roads to pick up the litter that is thrown out along our roads. Thanks to so many, especially Bob and Sonja Crawford that continue to keep Kittanning Hollow Road beautiful. Seybert’s Auto took in the 17 tires that were picked up.
East Brady community volunteers also crossed the bridge to help in the Brady’s Bend community. Armstrong County Pen-Dot supplied the bags, vests and gloves in an effort to Keep PA Beautiful.
