Bridge Builders and Venango County United Way start COVID-19 Relief Fund

Bridge Builders Community Foundations and United Way of Venango County now accepting donations for the COVID-19 Relief Fund. United Way of Venango County (UWVC) and Bridge Builders Community Foundation (BBCF) have partnered to bring the COVID-19 Relief Fund to Venango County. This Fund will provide flexible resources to organizations in our region working with communities who are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and the economic consequences of this outbreak. One-time grants will fund organizations that have deep roots in the community and strong experience working with residents without health insurance and/or access to paid sick leave, individuals unable to provide themselves and/or their families with basic necessities, senior citizens concerned with exposure, among others. The Fund is designed to complement the work of public health officials and expand local capacity to address all aspects of the outbreak as efficiently as possible.  UWVC and BBCF commit that 100% of donated funds will be utilized for crisis response efforts and that no administration, fundraising, or overhead fees will be assessed by UWVC, BBCF, or the organizations that receive the funds.  For the safety of the staff and the public, only online donations will be accepted at this time. Donations can be made online at unitedwayofvenangocounty.org or bbcf.org. All donations will go directly toward supporting the jeopardized nonprofit organizations that provide direct services to the community. Our community is strong, and together we can accomplish anything. Thank you!
