Chase Beighley on his record setting performance.
Congratulations to Chase Beighley who became the all time leading scorer at Karns City High school on Monday, February 21, 2021on his home court. A three point beyond the arc shot at the top of the key against A-C Valley moved Chase past Tyler Callihan who set the mark in 2005 with 1554 career points.
In a special tribute to his performance, Beighley was personally sent a congratulations from Isiah Thomas, 12x NBA All-Star and former guard of the Detroit Pistons. The tribute was a gift from Chase’s father who made the arrangements.
Beighley’s current point total heading into last Friday nights game versus Forest was 1,590 points.
Chase scored the first points of his career in his first game of his freshmen year against Sagertown. Beighley eclipsed the 1,000 point plateau against Forest in a game in which he scored 28 points. The most points he scored in varsity action was 38 but his most was a 58 point outburst in his church league.
Chase gives credit to his father for getting him involved in the game of basketball and has been one of the most influential persons in his life.

Accomplishments: 2x 1st team all KSAC, 1x 3rd team all KSAC, 1x 1st team All D9. Rookie of the Year 17-18 season.
