Chicora's Annual Memorial Day Parade

Chicora’s Military Honor Roll
The annual Chicora Memorial Day Parade will be held on Memorial Day, May 29th, starting at 10:00 A.M.
Veterans marching in the parade will meet at the Chicora American Legion at 9:00 A.M.
The parade will feature area veterans, antique cars and trucks, group floats and marching units.
The parade will lead to the Chicora Honor Roll where the Memorial Day Program will be held. This year’s Master of Ceremonies is David Fleeger, and the parade Marshal is Bill Liberto. Some of the participants include the Boy Scout Troop 217 for the raising of the national colors, Chloe Fritch will sing the National Anthem, Ron Huff and the Honor Guard will present the Memorial Wreath.
The program will also include the guest speaker, Pastor James Boomhower, past VA Chaplain of Pittsburgh. The 8th grade awards will be presented, one to Cole Johnston, son of Kellie Johnston and Jordan Johnston, and Arabella Wilson, daughter of Anne Halverson.
The Chicora Memorial Day Parade and Program is the finest in the county, and it’s one you’ll remember for the rest of the year. Plan now to attend.
