Clarion Conservation District Summer Programs 2023

A weekly summer program series titled, “Watershed Wednesdays”, for children ages 10-15 years old providing hands-on learning about our local watersheds will begin on July 12th from 5-7pm at Piney Creek in Limestone and continue on July 19th (Kahle Lake in Emlenton), July 26th (East Sandy Creek in Venus), and August 2nd (Clarion River in Cooksburg). There is a registration fee. Register by July 10th. Please go to www.clarion conservation/events for more information.

Visit the CCD table at the Clarion County Fair the last week of July at the Redbank Valley Municipal Park in Fairmount City. Celebrate National Moth Week by joining us for a Moth Program at the fair on Thursday, July 27th in the Children’s Barn from 4:30-5:30pm for children ages 12 and under. All ages are welcome to come find CCD at the Commercial Building later in the night to see live moths!

Enjoy a sunset at Kahle Lake-Clarion Access in Emlenton and learn how you can help stop the spread of invasive species at an Invasive Species Scavenger Hunt Kick-Off Event on Tuesday, August 1st from 6:30-8:30 pm. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Register by July 30th.
