Clarion County Special Olympics Christmas Tree on Main Street Clarion 


Clarion County Special Olympics has reorganized and is now part of the northwest region of Pennsylvania Special Olympics. As part of the reorganization new officers have been announced - Amy Mays (Team Leader), Jacqueline Griebel (Community Outreach Leader), Tanya Brooks (Fundraising Leader) and Chrysta Bowser (Treasurer).

Clarion County Special Olympics still has a need for a Sports Team Leader along with volunteers from the community to help with fundraising, coaching sports, and helping with events. To sign up to volunteer go to: Become a Volunteer - Special Olympics Pennsylvania specialolympicspa.org

As a kickoff event several athletes and volunteers from Clarion County Special Olympics decorated a Christmas tree on Main Street in Clarion. Future plans are to have a weekly get together for athletes to socialize.

Clarion County Special Olympics currently has open registration for basketball with practices slated to start in February.
