Dale L. "Duke” Stalker

Dale L. "Duke” Stalker, 84, of Eau Claire passed away Monday afternoon, December 28, 2020 at UPMC - West Penn in Pittsbukrgh, following a lengthy period of declining health.
He was born on June 4, 1936 in Venango Township to the late Lee and Maude Young Stalker. Dale was married on August 25, 1956 to Gayle Hutchison, who survives, and had recently celebrated 64 years of marriage.
Dale was a graduate of Concord High School at Hooker. He was employed at Mercer Limestone as a machine maintenance operator for over 40 years and had retired in 1998.
He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Eau Claire, F.&A.M. Lodge #521 of Parker, and the New Castle Consistory.
Duke was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1962 having served with the 54th Infantry at Fort Knox, KY. He was a light weapons infantryman.
Survivors include his wife, three children; Kerri (Timothy) Simon of Hilliards, Kirby (Tracey) Stalker of Boyers, and Kevin (Marlene) Stalker of Parker, a sister; Luree Kriedler, and 2 brothers; Merle and D. Richard Stalker, along with eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Dale was proceeded in death by his parents, six brothers; Frank L., D. Joe, Jack D., Earl H., and Fred L. Stalker, and a sister; Nancy Kerr. He was also preceded in death by a grandson Cody Stalker and a great-grandchild Henry Simon.
A private visitation and funeral service will be held Thursday morning with burial to follow at Eau Claire Cemetery. H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home in Eau Claire is assisting the family with arrangements.
