Dorothy Marie Staab

Dorothy Marie Staab passed away January 7, 2021, at Season’s Hospice in Cumming, Georgia.

Dorothy was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Robert Leopold and Gertrude Hoffman Staab on January 3, 1927. She had just turned 94.

Dorothy worked for the Pittsburgh Press/Post-Gazette for 48 years retiring in 1991. She had an exemplary work ethic and never once took a sick day! Dorothy enjoyed landscaping her yard, she was a talented artist, she enjoyed traveling and photography.

She is predeceased by her parents, brothers Robert W. and Walter J. Staab; two nephews, Johnny and Daniel Staab, as well as her beloved pets Timmy and Westie.

She is survived by her sister, Marie Staab McKenna of John's Creek, GA; many nieces and nephews, they are: Linda McKenna Smith of Duluth, GA; Carol Lee McKenna Woodley of Alpharetta, GA; Mari Beth King of Peachtree Corners, GA; and Garry McKenna of New York, NY; Robert Staab of Florida; Thomas, William and Matthew Staab of Harrisville, PA; Walter Staab of Albion, PA; David Staab of Marble, PA; Darlene Christensen of Menomonee Falls, WI; Ken Staab of Virginia Beach, VA; Marsha Barber of Kassuth, PA; Greg Staab of Cook Forest, PA.

An intention Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody Georgia at 4:00 p.m. on February 27, 2021, and she will be interred in the All Saints Columbarium.
