East Brady Area Riverfest Cancelled for 2020

Fireworks Display Still Scheduled

The East Brady Area Riverfest Committee has decided that it would be in everyone’s best interest to cancel their Annual Riverfest Event for the 2020 season. The event was slated to take place July 16 - July 19, 2020. “It was a very hard decision”, stated Jason Hall, President, “but given our current circumstances and not knowing when we will be able to openly hold public events again, we decided to cancel. There is a lot of work that goes into having Riverfest and most of the work is done months in advance, which we were not able to do this year. We have scheduled next year’s Riverfest for July 15 - July 18, 2021". The Riverfest Committee has however, decided to go ahead and hold the annual fireworks display for this year, hoping it will bring some excitement and entertainment to the community. The Fireworks display will be the biggest display that the Riverfest Committee has ever put on, so you don’t want to miss it. The display will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from a top of 60 ft. where they are usually put off from. Up and coming events: The East Brady Area Riverfest Committee still hopes to still have events in the fall. Planned events include: Sunday Sept 6, 2020; 3rd Annual Pig Roast on Saturday Sept 12, 2020; Drag Queen Bingo (Previously scheduled for 3/21/2020) The committee will keep everyone updated through The Progress News and their Facebook page, about scheduled events and in case something needs to be changed, postponed or unfortunately canceled. The Riverfest committee would like to say thank you to all who have shown their continued support and they wish for everyone to stay safe during this terrible crisis.
