Emlenton Rod & Gun Club Fishing Derby

The Junior Fishing Derby hosted by the Emlenton Rod & Gun Club will kick-off at Kahle Lake this Friday moring, July 12th. The event has been a staple during the summer festival over the last 40 years.
Each kids is asked to bring their own poles. Bait will be provided.
The event is open to any child ages toddler to 16. Fishing starts at 9 am at the North Shore of Kahle Lake. Arrive before 9 am to register. The derby starts promptly at 9 am and ends at 11 am. Lunch will be provided.
The age groups will be as follows:
Toddlers – age 7 • 8-11 years old • 12-16 years old
Prizes will be awarded in each age group.
First Fish Caught • Most Fish Caught • Biggest Fish Caught.
Downes Tire has graciously purchased fishing poles which are given away as prizes for the event.
Each child will receive a hotdog, chips and pop for participating.
