Emlenton’s Summer Festival is held annually on the second weekend in July. The festival starts off with the town-wide yard sales on Friday, July 8th. The Junior Fishing Derby is also held on Friday at Kahle Lake and it starts at 9 AM.
The posted festival schedule on the Emlenton website is still tentative and subject to change.
As of this moment the highlighted events for Saturday include food and craft vendors, family games, a kids scavenger hunt and treasure dig, Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy will be bringing animals for the kids to meet, everyone’s favorite “Dragonfly Balloons” will be on hand before, during and after the Summer Festival Parade at 6 PM; and be sure to stay for the Pyrotecnico “Fireworks” show at 9:30 (dusk).
Sunday highlights includ the car/truck/bike cruise starting at 10:30 AM, and don’t miss Jungle Terry and Friends at 1 PM.
All events are on Prospect Street, “Top of the Hill” by the new “splash park”. Will it be open? You’ll just have to come and see for yourself.
