Emlenton Summer Festival Update

Yes, there will be an Emlenton Summer Festival this year. The event will begin with the annual area-wide Trash and Treasure Sale. Sales begin at 8 AM on Friday, July 9th.

Anyone interested in having their name on the treasure map should submit their address to yardsales@emlentonpa.com by Wednesday, July 7th. An online map, as well as limited printed maps, will be available. If you would like to have a sale both Friday and Saturday, please indicate that when submitting your address. Two-day sales will be indicated.

Also kicking off the event will be the famous Firemen’s Strawberry Social at the fire hall on Main Street in Emlenton. The social will include hot sausage sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, sloppy joes, drinks, and of course strawberry shortcake! Mark your calendar now for this annual event.

Friday will also include a kids' bike race and an adult 5K Walk/Run. Registration forms can be found at Registration forms can be found at http://summerfestival.emlentonpa.com/events/

Friday also brings the first annual “FuchsFest,” a Summerfest carnival atmosphere to the west-end of Main Street. “FuchsFest” will be a public mural-painting project. The ORA-sponsored event will be sprucing up the exterior of the Fuchs building with a series of murals, and anyone who is keen to pick up a paintbrush; professional, hobbyist, or rank amateur – is invited to participate! This will be held on Friday, July 9th starting at 3 PM.

On Saturday the food vendors, and craft and novelty vendors will continue on Prospect Street. And there is a magic show being planned by the Boys & Girls Club Along the Allegheny and face painting.

For Sunday, July 11th a car/truck/bike cruise is planned along with the food, craft, and novelty vendors on Prospect Street
