FREDERICK H. SHIREY

FREDERICK H. SHIREY, 82, of Perryville, Parker, Pa. passed away suddenly Monday morning, November 9, 2020 at his residence of natural causes. Born in Perry Twp., Clarion Co. on March 14, 1938, he was son of late Harold Lee and Mary Elizabeth Sullivan Shirey. He was a 1956 graduate of the former Parker High  School. He entered service with U.S. Army in September 1961, and was honorably discharged with rank of SP/4 in January 1963. Fred was employed many years with the former Glass Containers Corp. of Parker, and found later employment with Universal Forest Products from where he retired at age seventy. Surviving are sister Janet Shirey Roddy of Perryville, and brothers Mike (Jannie) Shirey of Parker and Robert "Bob" (Barb) Shirey of Petrolia, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Ronald "Ron", Dennis "Bill", and Camillus Shirey. Arrangements are private including burial at Perryville Cemetery at a later date.  The family is being assisted by staff of Buzard Funeral Home at Parker.
