Gary D. Ellenberger

Gary D. Ellenberger, 59, of Chicora, died unexpectedly on December 7, 2021.

Gary was born in Butler on August 28, 1962. He was the son of Jane Peorschke Ellenberger of Penn Hills and the late Harold Ellenberger.

He was a 1980 graduate of Karns City Area High School. Gary was a hard-working person who loved his dogs, the outdoors, cutting firewood, running machinery, and ATVs. Most of all, he loved to fish.

In addition to his mother, Gary is survived by his wife, Christina Waldroup Ellenberger; his sons, Travis Ellenberger and Jacob Ellenberger; his daughters, Tiffany Collins Ellenberger, Jeanie Ellenberger, and Rochelle Ealy; a sister, Diana Schubert; and a brother, David Ellenberger.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Ellenberger.

Friends will be received from 6 – 8 pm Friday, December 17 at Christ’s Family Church, 334 W. Slippery Rock Street, Chicora. A funeral service officiated by Pastor John Pistorius will begin at 7:15 pm. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City.
