Happy Retirement To Susan Hughes of Clintonville

Susan Hughes

The family of Susan Hughes would like to congratulate her on her recent retirement from driving the school bus for Franklin Area School District. For the last 2 years, Susan also drove the afternoon run for the local Amish school. After 22 years of service, Susan hit her ambers and reds for the last time on June 7, 2022.

With the encouragement from her daughter, Jennifer, who also drove the bus, talked Susan into driving. She would always say that she was worried about driving in the snow. In 22 years, she only got stuck a handful of times.

Susan first started out driving the afternoon run while she was still baking at Ski’s Market Clintonville. The first bus she drove was 99T and then went onto 106T.

Susan was a strict but loving driver. She has seen many students come and go during the years. The students who she will dearly miss called her Miss Susie. She will also miss the students' parents.

If you see Miss Susie, wish her a happy retirement.
