Holiday for Heroes Event To Be Held Nov. 7

The 5th Annual “Holiday for Heroes” event is set for Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 11 AM to 6 PM at the Petrolia VFD Social hall.

The social hall is located on 200 Argyle Street, Petrolia, PA 116050.

The first 100 registered veterans will receive a free meal and an event T-shirt until the supply runs out. There is also a free drawing for all Veterans in attendance. (Proof of service is required.)

To start the event this year’s POW/MIA presentation will be presented by the 2020 & 2021 Butler County Veterans of the Year at 11 AM.

Come on out and join the event, enjoy a great meal and at the same time you will be supporting a worthy cause. The meal includes a stuffed chicken breast dinner with mashed potatoes, corn and a roll.

All money raised is used to help send care packages to deployed troops and to help local veterans through the Hero’s Angels “Holiday for Heroes” program.

Dinners are also available for take out. Cost of the dinners are $12.00.

There will be drawings every hour starting at 12 Noon to 5 PM. $20 for patrons and $50 for Veterans. You must be present to win.

Other activities include a bake sale, reverse raffles, 50/50 raffle and an American Auction. Auction items donated by area residents and businesses.

There will be a special performance by Gary Burk III from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

And since we’re nearing the holiday season there will be a special appearance by Santa and the Grinch. Your kids will love it.
