According to Jeannie Ritchey, Acting Venango County Treasurer, the 2022-2023 Hunting and Fur-Taker Licenses will begin on Monday, June 13, 2022. Licenses may be purchased at the Treasurer’s office in the Courthouse Annex at 1174 Elk Street, Franklin, PA.
July 11, 2022, will be the first day for residents’ antlerless deer license applications to be accepted by MAIL ONLY to the Venango County Treasurer’s Office, P.O. Box 708, Franklin, PA 16323. The office is open Monday thru Friday from 8 am to Noon and 1 pm to 4:30 pm.
To qualify for a resident license a person has to be domiciled in Pennsylvania for a period of 30 consecutive days immediately preceding application for a license.
Lifetime hunting licenses are also available in the Treasurer’s office.
