Judith “Judi” Gene Geiser Weeter

Judith “Judi” Gene Weeter (Geiser) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 27, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond W. and Alice G. Geiser of Charlotte and formerly of Emlenton and Oil City, PA. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, teacher and friend. She had a passion for learning and attended Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in Emlenton, PA, Indiana University of PA, Clarion University (Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority Sister), WV University, Penn State and UNCC. As a life-long educator, she loved her time spent teaching in the classroom as well as serving as the Early Education Director in Marysville, MI, Gifted/Talented Coordinator for West Greene Schools, PA, Mathematics Specialist, OH, and taught in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. She eventually retired as a teacher from the Rock Hill, SC School District, where she also served as President of their Teacher’s Association. She was a gifted Equestrian and volunteered with Free Rein of Brevard and was the Volunteer Coordinator for Misty Meadows Mitey Riders in Waxhaw, NC. She was a talented soloist and musician who loved singing in the choir for her Trinity Presbyterian Church of Hendersonville. Her faithful stewardship also included serving as Elder and Session Member for the past six years, Chair of the Worship Ministry, Moderator of Deborah Circle, Presbyterian Women’s Coordinating Team Member, Music Camp volunteer, and Coordinator of the Stop Hunger Now Program. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Salvation Army Ladies Auxiliary, and numerous Book Clubs in MI, OH, PA and NC. She was a Levine Senior Citizen Volunteer. She will be greatly missed by her sons, Robin C. Weeter (Deborah), Shaun P. Weeter, and Bryan K. Weeter; her brothers, Raymond W. Geiser, II (Barbara) and Daniel W. Geiser (Jeannette) and her grandchildren, Holly Weeter Tolbert (Michael), Garrett Weeter, and Grace Weeter. They will continue to honor her legacy by living with grace and love. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Hendersonville, NC. In lieu of flowers, please donate to her favorite charity, the Black Mountain Home for Children (https://blackmountainhome.org/memorials/). Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
