Kathleen “Kathy” Scott Gibson

Kathleen “Kathy” Scott Gibson, 58, of Chicora, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 20, 2020, in the comfort of her home following a long battle with COPD.

Kathy was born in Butler on February 9, 1962. She was the daughter of Robert and Wanita Scott. She attended school in Karns City. In her earlier years she worked as a nurse’s aide.

She loved planting flowers, doing puzzles, playing bingo and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Ronald Gibson, whom she married on October 12, 2007; her daughter, Nicole Plyler and her husband, Robert, of Volant; two grandsons, two granddaughters, and two great grandsons; her sister, Tracy Scott; her brother, Keith Scott, both of Butler, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kathy was preceded in death by two brothers, Brian and Randy Scott; two grandchildren, Kirra and Brytan Plyler and her step father, Richard Scott.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Bear Creek Cemetery in Petrolia.
