Knox Lions Club Student of the Month


Owen Easton, left,was presented the

Knox Lions Student of the Month Award by Lion, Bill Black.

At the October Knox Lions Club meeting Owen Easton was honored at the Lions Club Student of the Month. Owen is a senior student at Keystone High School is Knox.

Owen’ parents moved back to the area from Henderson, Nevada when Owen was 12 years old. At Keystone H.S. Owen has participated on the golf team for the past 5 years and qualified for districts his sophomore year. He was selected to be the team captain this year even though his season was cut short due to a skate boarding accident. He’s on the track team, participates in the ski club and is the vice-president of Student Government. He was also inducted into the National Honor Society.

Through NHS he has been able to participate in community car washes and volunteer at the Venango County Fair.

Owen is looking forward to attending college and hopes to major in biochemistry, but he says, that could change.

At the dinner he thanked his family and gave a big thank you to the Lions Club for selecting him for the honor of Student of the Month.
