Thursday, November 19th at 6:00 p.m.— We are excited to partner with the Pennsylvania Treasury Department to offer a free webinar to help parents start saving for their child’s future. This free online webinar will inform about the Keystone Scholars and the PA Savings Program. Attendees will learn about the simple signup process, how to win money for your family and child’s education, and much more. Pre-registration is required. • Thursday and Friday, November 26th and 27th—CLOSED for Thanksgiving holiday and will re-open on Saturday, November 28th at 11:00 a.m.
• Nonfiction/reference books—Recently, we were awarded a grant to purchase new, updated nonfiction reference books. The McElhattan Foundation provided a grant for $6,500 to help with this project. We were able to purchase new sets of state and country books, as well as a set of president books for our children’s area. We also purchased books on the following topics for our young adult/teen area: test prep (SAT, ACT, etc.), career and college, physical health, mental health, and other tough topics. For our adult section, we purchased new books on medical issues, physical health, mental health, career test prep (nursing, civil service, etc.), homeschooling/virtual, and legal issues. Books are being processed and will be ready for check out by December.
**We are not accepting any book donations at this time and our used book sale is closed.
