Join the Clarion Conservation District, Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, and partners for a two part class learning hands-on fishing skills! Our goal is to make fishing more accessible and help new and returning anglers alike get into fishing our beautiful PA streams and lakes!
Topics covered include Traditional & Fly Fishing, PA Fishes and Habitat, Stream Restoration, Fishing Gear, Why/How Lakes, Rivers and Streams are Managed and more!
You must register by August 29th. Space is limited and early registration is advised.
Classes will be held on September 12th and September 14th.
The September 12th class session will be held at the Sligo Area Recreation Center (448 Colerain St, Sligo, PA).
The September 14th field day session will be held from 8:00 AM to 12:45 pm or later at McCanna Run (Strattanville, PA). Lunch and gear will be provided.
Adults and children 12 and up may attend. No experience needed but you must attend both sessions.
Free transportation is available.
