Louis F. Kalinowsky

Louis F. Kalinowsky was born on March 5, 1946. He went to be with the Lord on November 27, 2021. He was born in Brackenridge, PA, and lived most of his life in Clarion County PA. Most recently he became a resident of Winter Haven, Florida. He was a graduate of Har-Brack High School in Natrona Heights PA and a graduate of Duquesne University of Pittsburgh PA where he received a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education in music. He married Rosemary (Adamski) Kalinowsky on June 27, 1969.
Louis was a teacher at Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in Foxburg PA where he taught music, concert band, marching band, and stage band. He was loved by his students and has been praised for being a great teacher. He also served on the Foxburg Borough Council as president and the Foxburg Borough Water Authority. He was instrumental in the work done for the Foxburg sewage plant, supporting the Foxburg Area Information Center, and helped with obtaining and the installation of the Foxburg Bear. He was a member of ARCA (Allegheny Riverstone Center for the Arts) and helped with the tours held at Riverstone. Lou, as most people called him, was also a 32nd degree Mason with the Parker-Allegheny-Canby Lodge No. 521, Scottish Rite, Valley of Pittsburgh. Lou was a Christian and while in PA attended Grace EC Church of Knox, PA where he directed the choir for 25 years. While in FL he attended The Lord’s Church of Lake Henry.
Lou loved doing woodworking and did beautiful finishing work. He was also an artist with pyrographic art. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. Model railroading was a lifelong hobby he enjoyed. He loved to read the Bible and his favorite secular author was Louis Lamour. Lou enjoyed walking and riding a bicycle on the bike trails in PA. In Florida, he biked throughout his park and participated in the park’s senior Olympics where he placed 3rd in his bicycling division.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Philamina Kalinowsky, and his sisters Philamina and Roxanne, and his brother Ernest.
Louis is survived by his wife Rosemary and two daughters Heidi (her husband David and three grandchildren, Adam, Olivia, and Anya) from Virginia and youngest daughter Maegen from Oklahoma.
Louis also has two brothers-in-law: Ronald Adamski and his wife Sandi and David Adamski and his wife Rikki both from Florida. He has one sister-in-law Arlene and her husband David Balog of Natrona Heights, PA.
He was happily married for 52 years and lived a life with many blessings and many adventures. He is now at peace in his heavenly home. His final resting place will be at The Foxburg Cemetery in Foxburg, PA.
There will be a Celebration of Life with The Lord’s Church of Lake Henry in Winter Haven, Florida on January 15, 2022.
A Celebration of Life is in the planning stages with Grace Church in Knox PA for summer 2022.
