Marilyn was a Christian and loved the Lord. She lived by the word of God and studied the Bible fervently. She was a selfless and loving person who always had a song in her heart and loved to sing. Marilyn loved her beautiful flower beds and enjoyed time spent with family, friends, and her dog, “Teddy.” Her home was warm and welcoming; when she was young she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and making her own clothes. She was a Penguins fan and enjoyed watching them with her sister, Shirley, and son David.

Marilyn is survived by three children, Wendy L. Kubany and her husband, Joseph, Thomas G. Bricker and his wife, Laurie, and David A. Bricker; seven grandchildren, Joey, Lisa, Victor, Brian, Michelle, Taylor, and Greg; six great-grandchildren, Sage, Victor Jr., Joseph #5, Annie, Katahdin, and Lucille; three brothers, James Fleeger and his wife, Patricia, Larry Fleeger and his wife, Jo Ann, and Carl Fleeger and his wife, Val, and a sister-in-law, Glenda Fleeger all of Chicora; one sister, Shirley Heeter of Prospect, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert, and Richard Fleeger; three sisters, June Herold, Kay Dunn, and Sally Hefner; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Herold, and Floyd Heeter; a sister-in-law, S. Susan Fleeger, and two nieces, Ruth Herold Armstrong and Kim Fleeger Kendrick.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 1 – 3 p.m. Saturday. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Paul DeBacco of Crisswell Bible Baptist Church, officiating. The interment will be at St. John’s Reformed Church Cemetery, Chicora.
