All Day Festivities Planned
What’s coming and how you can participate in Perry Township Summer-fest! Bring your lawn chairs!
Saturday, Aug 17th will kick off at 11 AM with plenty of FREE things to check out! Join Perry Township for family activities, food trucks, interactive events, all-day raffles, and live music. The day has many things scheduled and there is sure to be something for every mood and taste! Food trucks running throughout the day will be Munchie Man, No Bull Concessions, Stacy’s Twisted Cotton Candy, The Crow’s Cupboard, and the local concession stand. If you are still hungry after hitting all the food trucks, enter the pie-eating contest at 5PM!
The Farm Market will run from 11 AM-4 PM. Stock up on local fresh produce, eggs, baked goods, plants, and other farm-fresh offerings. They are still accepting vendors for the Farm Market. Please email perrytwpevents@yahoo.com for more information. Starting at 1 PM, take a hay ride over to the Perry Twp Historical Society & Old School exhibit. Hay rides will be available until 4PM.
NEW THIS YEAR! Before you leave home, pack your water guns, soakers, and pick up your friends to play in the Super Soaker Zone. The course will be staged with obstacles to hide behind and buckets to refill your favorite soakers! Take a swing at the 9-hole mini-putt putt golf course or turn the kids loose to play on the bounce houses and ride the slide. Challenge your friends to a game of cornhole! All free, all day. 11 AM-8 PM
There will be 2 great shows running from 1 1AM-5 PM. The Tractor Show is open to all types of tractors and they can be displayed for show, to sell, buy, or trade! Drive your tractor over and let people get up close and check it out. Perry Twp will also be hosting the SHOW OFF YOUR RIDE Bike & Trike Show - these beauties will be shined up & lined up to admire but please don’t touch!
Make sure you grab your lawn chairs to enjoy the live music! The VFW will kick off at noon with a salute & the National Anthem. Next up, is Dave’s Country Keyboard & Accordion - playing from 1 PM-2:30 PM, Andy Burkett 4 PM & UNFORGIVEN will hit the stage at 6 PM.
Like to gamble a little? There will be 50/50 chances, basket raffles, and bingo to tempt you! Grab your markers and head to Perry Twp Fire Hall for 2 sessions of bingo. Bingo will be held at 11AM & 3PM. 50/50 and basket raffles will be at the main event area at 73 Collier Road, West Freedom, PA. The winners will be announced before UNFORGIVEN takes the stage.
Also happening in the community on Aug 17, 2024 - Park Hill Church is hosting a free Car Cruise from 1 PM-4 PM at 3314 Lime Plant Road, Parker, PA. The Park Hill Church is also holding a 5K at 7 AM. It will be $10 to race and $15 for a shirt. Please contact the church directly for more registration information.
The Perry Twp Events organization is working hard to plan a wonderful day for our community and beyond. We are always looking for new volunteers and unique vendors to participate.
