Salem Annual Community Egg Hunt

Grab your basket or bucket and join with the community at the annual Salem Community Egg Hunt. This year’s hunt will take place at the Community Complex beside the Community Building. On April 16th the hunt will start at 10:00 am sharp and will continue until all of the prize eggs have been found.

Ages for the hunt start at walking and continue through 6th grade in school. The group will be divided in half and each age group has 3 prize eggs hidden in their area. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends are encouraged to come and watch but are asked to stand on the driveway to allow youngsters hunting eggs to look and find. Hunters will be helped by assigned 4-H’ ers to make sure everyone gets some eggs.

This hunt has been going on for over 60 years and in some instances there have been 4 generations present. Come and watch and visit. Meet your neighbors and renew old friendships.

The hunt is sponsored by the DeHart, Rossman, Wenner American Legion Auxiliary, the DeHart, Rossman, Wenner American Legion Post 997 and the Salem Township Supervisors. They are assisted by Venango’s Edge 4-H members.

Anyone wanting to donate to the hunt are asked to bring, candy, plastic eggs, etc to the building by 9 am on Saturday, April 16th.

Happy Easter and Welcome Spring!
