The new Siegel Insurance office located at 10670 Rte. 322 , Shippenville, PA
After a two month or more delay in construction, Siegel Insurance in Clarion was able to move into their new office in Shippenville, PA. They have been in the new office building for three weeks. The new location is just off route 322 in Shippenville on the right side headed to Clarion, about three hundred yards from the intersection in Shippenville, Rt.322 and Rt. 66.
Siegel Insurance began in Emlenton, when William Siegel purchased the Norma Armstrong Insurance Agency in the mid-1980s. Ten years later Siegel moved the business to Main Street in Clarion, where it has been until now. Since being in Clarion, the Siegel Insurance Agency purchased the John Love Agency of Shippenville and then the Smathers Insurance Agency six years ago, also on Main Street Clarion. Although the John Love name is no longer used, the Smathers name will remain. The Smathers Insurance Agency was known for its insurance along with the Notary and title work for vehicle registrations. It is a PennDOT Authorized Service Center. The phone number for Smathers Insurance remains the same. It is: 814-226-5000. The President of the company is now William “Bill” Siegle, son of William Siegle.
