Summertime at The Boys & Girls Club Along The Allegheny


Members were able to get a special meet and greet and behind the scenes look on Thursday, June 17th for the Jurassic Quest Tour held at Key Bank Pavillion in Burgettsown.

The Boys & Girls Club Along The Allegheny has been busy keeping kids busy! First off a great big THANK YOU to Otto’s Tavern in Emlenton for raising over $17,000 for us during the annual Otto Schiberl Memorial ride held on Saturday, June 5th.

Next week some of our members will be attending summer camps in coordination with the Penn State Cooperative Extension Program. Some of the camps include: Recycling Art, Reptiles & Amphibians Camp, Farmer for a Day and an Outdoor Camp which will be held at Mineral Springs.

Upcoming events include a trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo on Monday, June 28th. If you are a club member you must sign up by Friday, June 25th.

We will also be sponsoring a week long camp held in conjunction with Whitehall Camp. This camp will be held on August 2nd thur 6th. Other events are also being planned.

This year we welcome new AmeriCorps members, Andrea Meals, Rachel Cullen and Amelia Sherman who will help support current member Jenny Allen who has been serving for over a year.
