To the Editor: Coats for Kids

Dear editor,

For the past seven years coats have been donated to those who need it the most, the children on our community. This year was another success supporting the local children in need.

To date there have been 3,178 coats distributed which includes 465 this year. Also this year 156 pair of tennis shoes were distributed. All coats and shoes are purchased thru Operation Warm.org.

I work with the schools, preschools, head start programs and other organizations and agencies throughout Clarion County.

Again this year I was given hand knitted hats made by Marty Smith representing Caps for Kids. Scarves and hats made by the Women of Grace E.C. Church were also distributed with the coats.

Donations can be sent to Farmers National Bank, P.O. Box 665, Knox, PA 16232 payable to Keystone Coats for Kids anytime throughout the year.
