Union High School Valedictorian
Mckayla Paige Deitz, daughter of Terry and Melissa Deitz of Rimersburg is the Union High School Valedictorian.
Melissa’s activities include National Honor Society, Senior Class President, Rimersburg Lions Club Student of the Month for Physical Education for the Month of January, Union High School Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen, basketball and competition cheerleading, CCYC, track and field, language club, school musicals, and a member of the Baker Street youth group
She spent time volunteering at Whitehall youth camp and the Sligo Methodist church, and is employed at Riverside.
Her future plans are to attend Clarion University and major in Early Childhood Education.
Madison Mueller-Howell, 2020 Union High School Salutatorian
Madison Mueller-Howell, the daughter of Deborah Howell-Rainey and Jeff Rainey of Rimersburg, and James and Anna Mueller of Bridgeville is the 2020 Union High School Salutatorian.
Her activities include President of National Honors Society, Student Council, and Bands. Vice President of the Language Club. Secretary of the Class of 2020. Treasurer of Choirs. Laurel Eye Clinic 2020 Student of the Month for March, Rimersburg Lions Club Student of the Month for Band for the Month of April, All available band ensembles, including regional, district, and district jazz bands. All available choir ensembles, including district choir. The Redbank Valley and Mercer Community Bands. A member of the Baker Street Youth Group, art club, basketball cheer and the musicals.
She spent time volunteering with the National Honors Society and assisting with Toys-For-Tots at the Pennsylvania State Police barracks. Madison is also employed at the Taste-T-Freeze in Rimersburg.
Her future plans are to attend Westminster College for a degree in Music Education with a focus in trumpet.
