Voters Urged to Challenge Congressional Candidates on Protections for Newborn Abortion Survivors

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today called on supporters to publicly challenge Democrat candidates for the House of Representatives on their position regarding protecting babies born alive after a failed abortion.

“Democrats in the House and Senate have, without any rational justification, blocked a bill that increases and strengthens protections for these babies. They have opposed the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.

“But the only way they get away with doing this is if the voters don’t know.

“Republicans support increasing protection for these babies. Democrats, with half a handful of exceptions, do not.

“Voters have a right to know if the person asking for their vote is willing to protect a baby. If they aren’t, how can they effectively protect the rest of us?”

Priests for Life sent out this action alert to equip voters throughout the country with the facts they need to know to challenge candidates on this issue.
