West Freedom Water Association Receives Award from PRWA

West Freedom Water Association was presented the Pennsylvania Rural Water Association Award for Water System of the Year.
West Freedom Water Was founded by Dick Alworth and the community in the 1960s and has continued to grow. The Association has worked diligently to improve the water quality through the years. West Freedom Water has had many improvements over the last 5 years including new storage tanks, greensand filters, well, and equipment for monitoring. They are working on more improvements for 2021.
The award was presented by Glenn Cowles of PRWA to the Association in late December. This award is presented to recognize the staff and board of a water system for providing high quality water treatment and service to their customers and community.
