The Progress News and the Boys & Girls Club Along The Allegheny would like to thank the many participants for our Easter Egg Hunt. The total number of eggs hidden was 27. A little trickery was done as the Emlenton IGA advertisement had three eggs in the ad. It was the only ad with multiple Eggs. An egg was hidden in the Campbell’s Soup can, the Strawberries and the “In Your Out” headline at the top of the ad. (3) Eggs were hidden in the IGA and and the following ads: Randy & Bob’s Autobody, Farmers National Bank, Blue Collar Tavern, Chicora Subway, Pizza Joe’s, Welter’s Market, Amy’s Closet, Good Tire, Hickman Lumber, Scenic Valley Coiffures, L&J Automotive, Automotive Excellence, SDJ Battery, Chicora Memorial Day Parade, The Grooming Table, Autism Support, Slater’s Meats Gift Card, Cindy’s Place, Bob’s Place, August Falls Winery, Parkers Appliance, Allegheny Grille, Berry’s Beverage and Allegheny Log Homes. We had multiple contestants that guessed the correct amount of eggs. In the event of the tie, we held a random drawing to select the winner. Eleven adults guessed the correct number of eggs and thirteen youth. Overall we had 100 readers enter the contest. The winner in the youth category (age 12 and under) was Kenlee Smith, age 5 of Chicora. Winner in the adult category was Tammy Toy of Fenelton.
