The Boys & Girls Club Along The Allegheny is pleased to announce the winner of their Christmas Coloring Contest. This contest was open to the public, and entries were submitted via mail or dropped off at The Progress News.
The winners in their respective categories are as follows:
The age 4 to 6 category winner was Felicity Campbell; The 7 to 9 age group winner was Charity Joy Neely. Charity also suggested that we do a Nativity scene next year, and we just might take her up on that.
The Age 10 to 12 group winner was Josie Pipher.
In the adult category, we had many participants ranging in age from 13 to 88 years of age.
The winner in the adult division was Kathy Crawford.
All winners will be notified by a phone call to make arrangements for sending out the gift cards.
The Boys & Girls Club Along The Allegheny would like to thank all the many participants. We had over 140 entries and many colorful works of art. We enjoyed the creativity. In some instances winners were decided by a random drawing of the top three pictures.
Each winner will receive a $25 gift card.
The Boys & Girls Club Along The Allegheny would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
And there are two more surprise winners, Kathy Kriebel, and Katie May Neely, both of whom were the only ones to mention the awful typo in the graphic. If you didn’t notice, the “R” is missing in the word Christmas. We only noticed it after the paper was printed. So Kathy and Katie will also be getting a $25 gift card.
