The A-C Valley /Keystone Youth Football team culminated their season with a trip to the Superbowl on Saturday, October 28th at Forker Field in Grove City, PA and a rematch against Armstrong who defeated them earlier in the season.

To advance to the Superbowl the Falcons defeated Clarion-Limestone 32-12 and beat a determined Moniteau squad by a score of 8-0 in the playoff run to advance to play for the title against Armstrong.

The young Falcons held their own but came up a little short as Armstrong’s size and numbers proved to be the difference in a 31-16 setback. Crew Adams scored a pair of touchdowns for the Falcons and the scoring was topped off with a couple of two-point conversions by Myeles Spencer and Izak Murray.

For the A-C Valley /Keystone Jr. the trip to the title game has been a long time coming. This year is the first time that the junior team has gone to the Superbowl since the program began in 1988.

The ABC Youth Football League is made up of 10 teams across the region and includes Armstrong, A-C Valley/Keystone, Moniteau, Karns City, Union, East Brady, Redbank, Grove City, Clarion Limestone, and Slippery Rock.

As the historical season comes to an end, the coaches and staff couldn't be any more proud of the Junior football team and cheer squad!

The coaches would like to thank all for an amazing season! The young squad finished the regular season with a 6-2 record.

The team was coached by Ed Emery Sr., and assisted by Ed Emery Jr., Justin Bartley, Mason Spencer, William Jenkins, and Mark Minnicks.

Thank you all in our community who have supported us this year. We couldn't do it without you! Thank you all for a heartfelt send-off before the game!

Congratulations to Armstrong on their Superbowl victory.
