A History of Sugarcreek’s Irish Catholic Settlers and St. Patrick’s Church Tour

On Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025 at 1 p.m., Tom Rabbitt will give a talk on the Irish Catholic settlers of Sugarcreek Township at the Worthington Lutheran Church, 136 West Main Street. Previous and following the talk, three Irish hymns will be played on the church’s new Wicks Opus 6316 Pipe Organ.

Following the talk and music, a tour will be given of St. Patrick’s Church, built in 1805, the oldest Catholic Church west of the Allegheny Mountains.

No charge, but a love offering to support the log church.
