Alice Mae Martin

Alice Mae Martin, age 94, of Cabot, Pennsylvania, formerly of Cherry Valley Borough and Evans City, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, in the presence of loving family.

She was born on October 21, 1931, to the late Christopher Clyde Martin and Alice Jolly Martin.

Alice was known for her steady care and supportive nature throughout her life. Whether helping during times of need or quietly guiding others, she had a natural ability to look after those around her. Though she had no children of her own, she served as a mother figure to many and left a lasting influence beyond her immediate family.

She is survived by three generations of nieces and nephews, along with many others who were touched by her presence and maternal spirit.

Alice dedicated 50 years of service to Mine Safety Appliances, working for 37 years as a production technician in Evans City and an additional 13 years in Cranberry. She was of the Presbyterian faith and a longtime member of East Unity Presbyterian Church in Cherry Valley Borough.

In her leisure time, Alice enjoyed Wii bowling, reading, and spending time with her many friends at Concordia’s Haven III, where she found great joy and companionship. She also had a special love for animals, especially pugs.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her siblings: Charles A. Martin of Butler; George Clyde Martin of Parker; Cora Belle Martin of Evans City; and Ruth E. Martin of Evans City.

Alice will be remembered for her generous spirit and the many lives she influenced through her steady presence and care. In honoring her memory, many will think of her love for red birds-especially cardinals-whose presence offers a quiet reminder of Alice and the legacy she leaves behind.

Friends will be received on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg, PA 16056. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053. Private interment will take place at East Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery
