The six-piece joyous folk-pop band, Buffalo Rose, from Pittsburgh – hailed as ‘wildly charismatic’ – brings its nine-state 10th Anniversary Tour to Lincoln Hall on Saturday, September 26, at 7:30 PM—making its ARCA debut with lush vocal harmonies, bluegrass roots, and imaginative arrangements of pop favorites.
Blending folk, bluegrass, and pop with the acoustic energy of dobro, mandolin, guitar and upright bass, Buffalo Rose creates music that is both beautifully crafted and exhilaratingly alive. Their supple vocal harmonies and blazing string-band playing may even get you dancing at the back of the hall—or moving to the music from your seat.

Formed in Pittsburgh, PA in 2016, the group blends folk, bluegrass and pop into something amorphously Americana, but decidedly their own.
The Buffalo Rose lineup of Lucy Clabby (vocals), Margot Jezerc (vocals), Bryce Rabideau (mandolin), Malcolm Inglis (dobro), Jason Rafalak (upright bass), and Shane McLaughlin (guitar, vocals) use powerful vocal harmonies, masterful playing, and an original vision at every possible emotional level to put on dynamic live shows that are unforgettable experiences.
The new album from Buffalo Rose, ALL YOU CAN EAT, is a collection of covers ranging from Fleetwood Mac to Seal to Yebba – and each of the songs had advocates within the band, including “Kiss from a Rose.” The album, according to Jezerc, is about having fun and being free. “Go to the buffet, and get a little bit of everything,” she said. “As artists, it’s so easy to get caught up in the, shoulds and the shouldn’ts, and the industry of it all. This record is, for us, an antidote to that feeling.”
Buffalo Rose had the opportunity to work closely with legendary folk icon, Tom Paxton during the dark days of COVID. They co-wrote the songs on their EP, Rabbit, with Tom and they also reinterpreted a song of Tom’s called “I Give You the Morning.” The video for the song includes archival footage of Pete Seeger introducing Tom to his audience and in a similar manner, Buffalo Rose is introducing Tom to their audience as well. The grand part of this musical partnership is that it portrays a musical bridge between generations across time.
