Barnabas Ministries Annual Banquet
A resident of Emlenton, Pa., Dan Hurrelbrink felt the call of God on his life many years ago, and God led him on a journey that ended up in Romania. As Romania was just opening up, coming out of over 40 years of communist rule. Romania was hungry for the gospel and ripe for God's harvest. Dan ended up staying there marring a local Romania-girl Maria, and after having 3 daughters of their own, they felt compelled to adopt a family of 5 orphans into their home. Now, many years later, the ministry they founded, Barnabas Ministries, is still going strong. God has also added the country of Ukraine to their ministry. And they are getting ready to hold their Annual Fund-Raising Banquet.
Barnabas Ministries will hold its Annual Banquet, “Redeeming the Time,” on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Zion Church in Clarion, Pennsylvania.
Daniel and Maria Hurrelbrink, who lead Barnabas Ministries in Romania, will return to Pennsylvania for the event. Their daughter, Ashley, and son-in-law, Denis, will also attend. Together, they will share firsthand about the ministry’s work among children, youth, and families in Romania and Ukraine.
The evening will include dinner, ministry updates and stories, and the annual Silent Auction. Guests will have an opportunity to hear how Barnabas Ministries is reaching children and families through camps, children’s and youth ministry, humanitarian outreach, and assistance to those affected by the war in Ukraine.
This year’s theme, “Redeeming the Time,” reflects the ministry’s desire to make the most of every opportunity God provides to invest in the lives of others and share the hope of Jesus Christ.
The banquet is open to longtime friends of Barnabas Ministries as well as those who would simply like to learn more about the work.
Tickets are on sale now, and reservations are encouraged as soon as possible.
