On August 27th, 2024, at 11:38 in the morning, Belinda Jane Irwin’s beautiful soul left this world to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after battling cancer for the past few months.
Binny, as she is lovingly known, was preceded in death by Raymond L. (Buzz) Page with whom she shared three surviving children: Eric Page and his wife Charli of Marble, PA, Cheyenne who resided with Binny in Mars and took amazing care of her through her illness, and Treva Page Hancock and her husband Erik of Lucerne, CA.; two infant daughters, Linda Jane and Mara Ann preceded Binny’s passing.
Binny’s children blessed her with five grandchildren, Kaylee Page, Allan Page, Keegan Page, Soren Hancock, and Strider Hancock. She also had the wonderful blessing of being part of the lives of Crystal Page Mohler and her husband Chris along with their daughter Shilah of Emlenton and Rory Page of Parker. She spoke of them fondly during her last conversations. Binny enjoyed an exceptionally close relationship with her niece, Stephanie, and great-niece, Adiah, and was so grateful for the loving presence of Jeremy Goetzinger in their lives. She loved her brothers - Bill Irwin and his wife Vivian of Knox; James “Bud” Irwin of Emlenton and recently departed wife Holly, and John “Dewey” Irwin and his wife Tracy also of Emlenton, along with nephews Patrick, Daniel, and Brody, and nieces Courtney, Aubrey & Brooke. Her recent visit with all of her siblings together brought her so much happiness.
Binny also enjoyed serving her community of Emlenton, Pennsylvania where she lived most of her life through various events – she could be found at the ballfield, summer fest, or anyplace she could be helpful.
Binny was the daughter of James Gordon Irwin and Caroline Jane Larimore Irwin also preceded Binny in death.
Binny was a private person, very slow to speak of life’s difficulties, and never once did anyone hear her ask for help. Instead, she was the first to reach out, offer an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry, and love you for who you are. Those of us who are privileged to call her friend have been so deeply and richly blessed by her. Her laughter, wit, generosity, love, and compassion were immeasurable. The unlimited devotion she gave to her children was remarkable. All the while, never expecting a thing in return from anyone.
